Giants: Backed by the Issa Rae YouTube Channel, this web series is about the lives of 3 millennial friends who face everyday struggles surrounding urban, Black adulthood.  With topics such as independence and homosexuality, Giants‘ audiences view with perspective on how to live life freely- no matter the cost. This webseries can be streamed on YouTube.

Keloid: Young, Black and Gifted. Keloid is a sci-fi drama about a teenager who is coming into his power as he’s inherited a gift passed from earlier generations. The strong message of this web series is  combined with learning how to accept the challenge of the truly knowing one’s self and using our greater strengths for good. Written and produced by BTFC Founder and Director Hurriyah Muhammad, Keloid is an award-winning web series that is getting raves from the Blerd community on YouTube’s BTFC channel.

RoomieLoverFriends: The title says it all. A sticky situation occurs when two roommates form a bond that goes in different directions, questioning who they are to one another.  With steaminess, drama, and awkward boundaries, watch what happens as the main characters Tamiko and Jay define their relationship in this romanctic comedy. Adopted by BET’s Black & Sexy TV, this web series can be streamed on bet.com/shows.

The Nest: This show captures the relentless street life of Watts, Los Angeles as the plot unfolds when a bank robbery escalates to a murder. The three main characters Tyrone, his brother Earl, and his sister “Squeeze” must find a way out of gang rivalry, hood violence and endless crime in order to clear their names in a war that’s erupted within their hood.  Check out glimpses of season 2 on YouTube and www.kickstarter.com.


Tough Love: Set in NYC, this drama is about the lives of friends who must overcome obstacles while living under the pressures of city life. Just ending season 2, this show can be streamed on YouTube with behind the scenes look on their website at toughloveseries.com.
