Let’s celebrate Women’s History Month with the The Black TV & Film Collective and NYC Parks! 

The Black TV & Film Collective and NYC Parks are teaming up to bring the community a free evening of short films and conversation with award-winning women filmmakers.  Immediately after the screening there will be a filmmaker panel discussion moderated by the Black TV & Film Collective.

  • Little Courage directed by Veronica Caicedo
    Dramedy, 5 minutes
    A six year old decides to take matters into her own hands for the well-being of others.


  • DETAINED directed by Khushnuda Shukurova
    Drama, 9 minutes
    Two Syrian siblings are taken into custody at JFK airport as they attempt to reunite with their father in the United States.

    Drama, 13 minutes
    In 1971, a young actress goes on her first professional audition with surprising and life-changing results.

    Drama, 14 minutes
    A desperate woman pressures her grandfather into accepting a realtor’s briefcase with mounds of cash in exchange for his insolvent Harlem jazz club.

    Comedy, 14 minutes
    Living in a world where love has long gone extinct, Bruna is wounded by the sole arrow filled with uncontrollable real passion.


  • Scratch This directed by Jordan Lauren Miller
    Comedy Web Series, 15 minutes
    Sisterly love turns sour as Karen, Kaitlin, and Kristen get an unexpected gift from Mom.
