Party like it’s 2018? Okay, not really party, more like mingle, but definitely like it’s 2018! We’re working on the phrase-ology, but you get the idea. Couple of things, our Filmmaker Mingle is moving to WEDNESDAYS!!!! Also we are going to be trying NEW, QUIETER SPOTS around the city, starting with the back room at Stone Creek Bar and Lounge this year.  Already loving it!

So if you’ve been to a BTFC mingle before you know we mix business with pleasure and a couple of things go down:

1. We have a good time
2. Everyone is super friendly
3. We talk about our projects, goals and challenges
4. We make connections
5. We take those connections to the next level in many cases (many filmmakers who finished projects first met at BTFC events – real talk)
6. Get there early if you want the BTFC sponsored free food. It goes fast!

Kick off your February, meet your next collaborator, and get your project off the ground! Bring your business cards if you have them and spread them around! And remember, the only way to have a friend is to be a friend. Take an interest in those around you and it will be reciprocated.
